Nemo recently turned 4 months old and I am so amazed at how fast time goes past us. At his check up his official weight was 17.9 lb and 26.5 inches. This would make him at 91% for weight and 92% for height. Dr. T said he is doing fine and that he can start cereal which I plan to introduce to him this coming weekend.
He is such a fun baby. Lots and lots of smiles and more giggles. He is reaching and holding toys. His new love is his his "woobie" (little animal/blanket). He also likes to suck his pacifier when he is getting ready for bed or when he is fussy at nap time. I am thankful that he spits it out when he is done. I was glad that he never really liked it but something obviously changed his mind. I guess we will deal with this little addiction when he gets bigger.
His favorite games are patty cake with his hands and feet! Daddy and Nemo made up the latter one. He still loves to be sung to and likes to be held a little bit upside down. Talk about giggles when he goes all the way up side down! He likes it when we read to him and he likes kisses and tickles. He likes to lay on his back and when you give him all of your attention and play with him you would think it has to be his best day ever! I know it feels like it is mine!
On Sunday, we witnessed his first time rolling over from tummy to back. He did it 3 times and both directions! On the forth attempt he had a melt down, took a nap, and now has no interest in ever trying this again. I am starting to think he has a "check list" and he has decided that he has "been there and done that".
He still loves bath time and is now in the deep end of the infant toddler tub. One day, a few weeks ago he got to take a bath in the BIG tub. Let's just say we had a little problem with a very messy diaper. I didn't think he could repeat this but apparently he did at daycare yesterday and had to get washed up in the sink. Our little guy was quite upset with his teacher and she told Chief that he wouldn't even look at her when she was done cleaning him up! Again, a bit on the stubborn side as I have gotten that same treatment when I had made him mad.
Chief and I have realized that Sprout TV is a good thing. A year ago we wouldn't have known what this even is. He especially likes Roary the Racing Car, Animal Jungle, and his favorite time is at night with Nina and Star. He can be so sleepy but he will watch and when Star comes on he will start to "talk" to him.
A few weeks ago we put him in his Baby Einstein Activity Center. Chief has named this his "office". Nemo is very busy with this thing. He can stand and spin around and play with all of the toys. Sometimes he concentrates so much to figure something out. It is pretty fun to watch. He likes to go to his "office" and "work".
So, we are happy to report that our little boy is doing great. We couldn't be happier!
